Abstract: The purpose of this study was to investigate student's dance behavior in junior high school from the view point of the market segmentation.  This study was employed a specially designed questionnaire which were consisted of general demographics, sports behavior and feelings about the dance. Samples were gathered from junior high school students.  Multivariate statistical procedure such as quantification method third-type, and adequate statistical test were applied. The following results were obtained. 1. Three positive segments by the characteristic of the student were found. The correspondence that filled each student was shown to be important. 2. Single market segment of feelings about the dance. As for the target junior high student, the stance for the dance is undifferentiated immatureness. The dance education of the junior high school can ask about what I hide big possibility. 3. The marketing approach becomes more and more important in various dance teaching including a class. A possibility of making the careful correspondence by a positive market segmentation like this study show in particular was suggested.  It was shown that the examination by the market segmentation such as this study was method that was very effective to catch the characteristic of the people who sports.
