日本と満州における厚生大会の演技種目に関する一考察

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to clarify difference and similarity of the recreation congress between Japan and Manchuria by identifying the characteristics of the physical activity program in the both congresses. The physical activity program in the Japan recreation congress changed according to the policy of the Health and Welfare Ministry to stimulate collective gymnastics. The physical activity program in the third Japan recreation congress consists of collective gymnastics and marches except group singing and consort. Collective physical exercises including collective gymnastics constitute the physical activity program in the East Asia recreation congress held in Manchuria. The Japan recreation congress is different to the East Asia recreation congress in terms of the affiliation of the participants in the physical activity program. The East Asia recreation congress is extremely similar to the third Japan recreation congress in that the physical activity program consists of collective physical exercises.
