Abstract:  The purpose of this study is to clarify setting distributions at reception situation. Therefore, this research clarified the relationship between the tendency of the setter's tossing and the attacking evaluation and the result of the game. The results were as follows. 1) About the setting to attackers, the setting to the MB was large at the A pass when forward attackers are 2 and 3. Conversely, at the C pass, the setting to the side attackers(WS・OP) occupied the majority. 2) About the attacking tempo of attackers, WS has a lot of setting to attack at 2nd tempo at A · B pass and 3rd tempo at C pass. MB has a lot of setting to attack at 1st tempo at the A・B pass, but was actively attacking at 2nd tempo when forward attackers are 2. As for OP, the same tendency as WS was seen. 3) About the attacking evaluation, the successful attack at A pass of each attackers was high, but there was no obvious difference. 4) About the number of blockers, the ratio of 2 blockers to WS and 1 blocker to MB was higher when forward attackers are 2. And when forward attackers are 2, the ratio of 1 blocker to MB was high at the A・B pass, and the ratio of 2 blockers to side attackers(WS・OP) was less than when forward attackers are 2. 5) There was no obvious difference as to the setting distribution and the attacking evaluation by the result of the game.
