Abstract: Contact Improvisation freely controls a relationship between a body and gravity and establishes its method by leading an unexpected partnering technique since it moves as two bodies become one united body. The movement, created by taking in this Contact Improvisation method, is called “Contact Movement”. At present, it is well known that many types of contemporary dance adopt this Contact Movement. In this study, it aims at searching for how the usage of this Contact Movement has been changed in contemporary dance artworks and Company Resonance artwork “Inhabit-SEISOKU”is treated as its research object artwork. The movement of Contact Improvisation might be a one-time movement as extemporization but it can recreate some movements seen only in extemporization when the various movements created by extemporization would be choreographed as dancer's movement by utilizing a technique of Contact Improvisation as a dance method. Furthermore, this would indicate that it transmutes intricately by being utilized in the actual artwork. Compared to the previous research object artwork “Traveling Entertainer-Tabigeinin”, in the artwork “Inhabit -SEISOKU”at this time,“Contact Movement”as being developed for synchronized frequent occurrence is frequently utilized and even after Contact Movement created from one Contact Improvisation is over, the intricate Contact Movement is still repeated endlessly by continuing the further subsequent new Contact Improvisation. In Company Resonance artwork “Inhabit-SEISOKU”, it shows the concatenation for many layers of connected Contact Movement creates the original artwork style of the author.
