Abstract: | The purpose of the present study was to show what the dance philosophies of contemporary dance artists influenced on the dance workshops for children through the contemporary dance artist's own contents of the stories. Using interview research and analysis using method modified-grounded theory approach, that data were collected from four contemporary dance artists. It was content for dance philosophies, dance workshop methodology, and way of thinking about that relationship. The results indicated 3 categories, including 10 subcategories, and 22 concepts. And the attitudes to accept the variety of values including things that accept not as dance until now, and the dance philosophies of the personality expression through freewheeling thinking influenced on dance workshop methodology. These things common to the what is considered important in dance classes in school education. For example, they are“The removing the awareness that is not good at dance”and“The education philosophies of Goal-free”. And the contemporary dance artist has the improvisation skills agreeable to participant. This skills are used mainly“The time of playing and improvisation”in the dance workshops for children. Accordingly, contemporary dance artists has originality method of dance workshop for children. |
